Your generous support has made a difference! Last year, you helped:

  • Enable 2,727 visits from parents and children through the “Museums for All” Program, a reduced fee benefit for SNAP recipients.
  • Partner with Texas Tech’s Reading Program, the Burkhart Center for Autism students, and families and with the South Plains Dental Society, among others in our city, helping them also to make a difference in the lives of young children.
  • Reach over 18,500 students across 60 school districts with our Traveling Science Programs.

Thanks to your contributions, we achieved:

  • Complete refurbishment of the Periscope exhibition with all new signage and viewing to interpret the science of mirrors, reflection, and buoyancy.
  • On the lower level, our juvenile T-Rex received a new mechanical interior and beautiful, colorful paint by local artist La Gina Fairbetter. It is now the centerpiece of an all-new Geology exhibition with outstanding rock specimens.
  • Installation of the new Waterworks exhibit in the preschool area.
  • New carpeting in Exhibit Galleries.
  • Progress on transforming the OMNI Theater to digital projection. We are excited about this news!
